KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)Jon Baldwin bristled at the notion that he's a diva,or anything short of a team player, even though the Chiefs wide receiver hasmissed his entire rookie season so far after hurting his thumb in an altercationwith a teammate. The first-round draft pick spoke for the first time Wednesday since theinjury.Baldwin said that he's been catching balls wholesale nfl jerseys free shipping and running Osi Umenyiora Jersey Blue routes, and he hopesto be back on the field soon, even though he's leaving it up to coach Todd Haleyto determine when that might be as the Chiefs prepare to host the Vikings in amatchup of 0-3 teams. "I'm very eager. I'm a competitor," said Baldwin, who was listed aslimited on the practice report Wednesday. "I'm just eager to get back there assoon as I can."Baldwin had a somewhat tarnished reputation during his otherwise successfulcareer at Pittsburgh, where he was labeled by some critics as aloof. Still, theChiefs gambled on his undeniable talent and Official Osi Umenyiora Jersey imposing physical staturehe's6-foot-4, 230 poundsand selected him 26th overall. He was supposed to provide a deep threat to complement breakout star DwayneBowe(notes), but his injury during training camp put the brakes on everything. Eventhough Baldwin has been at every team meeting and been a staple on the sidelinesat practice, the missed time has kept him from getting up to speed and buildinga rapport with quarterback Matt Cassel(notes)."It's disappointing not to be out there with my teammates," Baldwin said."I really want to be out there with those guys, so I'm just doing everything asfar as rehabbing and being out there."When asked whether Baldwin believes he's a good teammate, he said"definitely.""I'm around them every day, so they know what kind of person I am,"Baldwin said, gazing around the locker room. "They know what kind of person Iam, what I'm like."Baldwin's big-play potential can't arrive soon enough for a Chiefs offensethat has struggled mightily through three losses to start the season. KansasCity is ranked 30th in the league in total offense, and just 31st in passingoffense."It's definitely going to help (having Baldwin available)," running backDexter McCluster(notes) said. "He can run, he's physical, he can block, so that'sanother person that they have to worry about."McCluster said his rookie season last year was a big adjustment, but hedidn't want to speculate how much the missed time has set Baldwin back."He just needs to get used to game speed again, but the fast he comesalong, the better we'll be," McCluster said. "It was a big adjustment for me,but everybody is different, so maybe not (for him). Hope not."

Update:Foster (hamstring) is expected to start against the Steelers on Sunday, the Houston Chronicle reports. "He's fine," coach Gary Kubiak said Wednesday. "He should be OK heading into the rest of the season now, hopefully. We'll keep our fingers crossed. He's chomping at the bit and ready to go, took his full load and we're okay." Spagnuolo's system taking an early hit
ST. LOUIS (AP)The St. Louis defense is off to a poor start, evensubtracting the three touchdowns the Rams have surrendered on offense. The Rams are next-to-last in total defense and dead last against the run, allowing 174 yards per game. The Baltimore Ravens set a franchise record with553 yards against them on Sunday and they've allowed 96 points, second-most inthe NFL.Coach Steve Spagnuolo's reputation as a defensive whiz has taken quite ahit. His response: Work harder, and expect the same from the players. Spagnuolo said Wednesday that there won't be any changes in approach orpersonnel this weekend when the Rams (0-3) host the Washington Redskins (2-1).A few big plays from a team that has produced one defensive touchdown inSpagnuolo's two-plus years as coach certainly wouldn't hurt. They've got oneinterception and one fumble recovery, the two takeaways tied for second-fewestin the NFL."It's not in our nature to hit the panic button and junk what we've beendoing," the coach said. "We've Authentic Osi Umenyiora Jersey had spells where we've Osi Umenyiora Authentic Jersey played pretty gooddefense in the past here. The system we're running, in my opinion, is proven. Weprobably just need to do it better as a group."Cornerback Justin King(notes), the player victimized most in last week's 37-7 lossto the Ravens, said players are definitely to blame. Him included, of course."Coaches have been making some good calls, and sometimes it's on us," Kingsaid. "That's what it is, gut-check time."There's a lot of sting to go around. Players heard the boos from thehometown fans as they trudge off the field at halftime trailing Osi Umenyiora Jersey Red the Ravens 27-0."If you view yourself as a good player, by golly, you're thinking thatscore is not who we are," linebacker Brady Poppinga(notes) said. "It is anembarrassment."The Rams blitz a lot, a Replica Osi Umenyiora Jersey risk-reward tactic based on pressure. Last week itwasn't enough to throw off Joe Flacco(notes), who passed for a career-best 389 yardsand wasn't sacked until twice late in the game.A larger problem appears to be the ubiquitous culpritgap responsibility.Different players on different plays trying to do too much and roaming too farfrom home have opened lanes for LeSean McCoy(notes) of the Eagles and Ray Rice(notes) of theRavens. There's plenty of blame on the back end, too.St. Louis began the year thin in the secondary and got even thinner withcornerback Ron Bartell(notes) was Permier Osi Umenyiora Jersey lost for the season with a neck injury in the opener.King, who replaced Bartell in the lineup, got victimized on all three of rookieTorrey Smith's(notes) long touchdown catches Sunday.Spagnuolo has gone easy on King, suggesting all three passes were perfectthrows by a quarterback not known for stretching the field. Safety DarianStewart(notes) also was Giants Osi Umenyiora Jersey to blame on at least one of the touchdown catches."I make no excuses. He made the play, I didn't," King said. "I wasprobably about an inch away from both balls."Spagnuolo took it another step, saying Hall of Fame cornerback Mike Haynesmight not have caught some of Flacco's throws."We could take the two wideouts every play and then it wouldn't take toolong for them to figure out," Spagnuolo said. "We just need to shore up therun defense in my opinion, always. I get the stats on the passing."The Rams have added depth that may come into play after next week's bye, signing veteran cornerback Rod Hood(notes) on Wednesday. Hood is coming off ofreconstructive knee surgery in June 2010.Coaches and players alike say the problem has nothing to do with gettingphysically whipped."There's times that guys, they beat their guy too much, believe it ornot," Poppinga said. "We get ourselves out of position because we'redestroying our guy so much. But understanding the big picture is the point, andwhere we fit in the big picture."
